Marma
is a 'vulnerable' or 'sensitive' zone on our body, often called a pressure point. Marmas resemble the acupuncture points of traditional Chinese medicine, but extend to larger areas of the body. Marmas are centers for vital-force or Prana, the master power behind both physical and psychological processes. Marmas connect to the Nadis and Chakras

Nadis
are energy lines in the body. There are 72,000 of these subtle energetic currents. In the Yoga tradition there are 3 significant nadis...the Ida, Pingala and Sushumna. Pingala (red) relates to the right side of the body and left side of the brain. Ida (white) relates to the left side of the body and right side of the brain. Sushumna (center) connects the chakras. In Thai Yoga, there are ten primary nadis known as Sen.

Sen lines originate at the navel. Thai Yoga Bodywork balances the energy flow through the sen channels using a combination of pressure points and stretching techniques applied along the sen lines.

Chakra There are 7 major marma or 'energy' centers that connect to the nadis. These seven spinning wheel-like energy centers are organizing centers for the reception, assimilation and transmission of life energies. Chakras are the wheels of life.
