I started doing yoga several years ago because I had high blood pressure. I have run and lifted weights since I was 20 years old and still had high blood pressure. The doctor gave me a diuretic which made me ill. I had driven past my local yoga studio many times and decided it was time to give yoga a try. After my very first class I was in love with Yoga. Nothing in my life had ever made me feel as calm and peaceful as the yoga did...not even the running. I was hooked.

Several years later and one great teacher certification trip to Mexico, I am now a yoga teacher and loving it. My kids have called it a mid life crisis, but I call it a re-birth. I have never felt better about me or about life. I am anxiously awaiting any new adventures that will come my way during the second half of my life.

I did get a tattoo(s) which might actually fit into the mid life crisis category.

I have three adult children Jim, Matt and Nora, a great daughter-in-law Jen, and have 2 beautiful granddaughters named Madison and Kayla.

I received my 200 hour teacher certification in June 2007 from Yandara. Yandara is based in California, with a teaching training site in Mexico. I lived on the beach and did yoga every day for a month. Life doesn't get much better than that!

I am currently registered with Yoga Alliance. My training is Iyengar based Hatha Yoga.
I am currently working on my 500 hour certification.

I completed my Ashtanga Primary Series Teacher Training with David Swenson and have done various workshops with Beryl Bender Birch, Simon Park, Dharma Mittra and Thai Massage with Michael Buck.

  Life...
  You can't predict it
  You can't control it
  Just Embrace it.
